Tex Mex - need your opinion

I have been working on getting the additional porta potties and showers for the show. So I have found 2 options:
Option 1 - is 6 showers that are basically porta potty size, no hot water, just would basically be somewhere to shower. We can afford these and would not have to charge anything showers.

Option 2 - is a 18 shower trailer. It would have larger showers, hot water, nice area to change cloths, and would be professionaly run and cleaned all weekend. The problem is this is out of our budget and it would cost $5 per shower.

Do you guys this we should spring for the nicer showers? Please Let me know what you think. I know the girls wont care to pay $5 for a nice hot shower.

I could go for $5 shower. As long as it is clean. It is cheaper than just getting a room for a shower.

Larry it is not the most expensive. But when we have to pay what we pay for the park, porta potties, cops, EMS (this year), and all the other crap we have to pay for permits and such, we dont have the money to spend on what the shower trailer could potentially cost. The $5 dollar a shower is what they would charge us. So if we have low 4,000 people take 3 showers at $5. Thats $60,000! Hate to break it to ya, we cant afford that!

fair enough. if a trailor with showers makes 60,000 at one event were all in the wrong business!!!

I am not 100% sure what the cost is going to be yet. I will check on that.
Also they are chargin us $4,000 just to get the trailer to the show.

damn!!! that would b a good investment if someone had the money to build. i bet its alot of work though

THis one is a converted 18 wheeler trailer. Has like a 500 gallon hot water tank. Individual shower stalls with locking doors.

i can rough it in a tent for the weekend but i cant handle a cold shower :shock:

I think the $5 shower is fair enough. I agree it'd be worth it for a hot shower, and yet still cheaper than getting a room. I have never been to the show but heard good things. I am planning on making it out for it.

yeh that five bucks is cool me and guys would pay that we camp every year anyway that camping with no hot water is for the fucvking birds we went home smell ripe as we could be not to mention three flats on the way home it sucked u know us fat guys sweat alot

looks like what we are going to do is $5 a shower or a card with 5 showers for $20.
